Heartstrings Community Project

On our doorstep, in the community that surrounds us and all the way down to the city of Durban, there are families struggling to put food on their tables and clothes on their backs… But we are helping. Small acts amount to much over time and we would love you to partner with us!

Where it all began…

Established in 2013 by founders Mike & Paula Strydom, Heartstrings Community Project has grown from an investment of hard earned savings and a vision to reach and touch many precious hearts, to the reality today of that vision coming true, and growing to impact communities close and far by empowering people, uplifting communities & connecting hearts along the journey.

The commitment and passion of Mike and Paula and their two children Summer and Gabriel through some very hard times continues to shine a light on their calling.

For more information of their story and the initiatives the project has been involved in up to now, please visit the Blog page.

In 2017 Heartstrings Community Project moved from Mike & Paula’s home to the new base at the Crest Community Centre. This move to share the premises with Heartstrings Trading Company and Frontier Church & Ministries has allowed the growth to continue.

The project continues to grow through the initiatives it is involved with and from the Crest Community Centre base we have our Community Kitchen and Pilgrim’s Pantry that feed and provide for those in need, our Livingstone Nursery for all things succulent and cacti and Calico HEART Clothing, your one stop for gorgeous pre-loved clothing and accessories for ladies.
